Audio is the foundation of every event we do. It doesn't matter how good the DJ is if the sound system is fighting the room. We engineer for the space, whether that's a 50-person garden wedding or a 1,000-person ballroom.
We run line array systems for larger venues and point-source systems for smaller, more intimate spaces. Every system is tuned on-site. We walk the room. We listen from the back. We adjust until it's right.
Outdoors is a different problem, and it is the one people underestimate. Indoors, walls and a ceiling send sound back at you. Outdoors nothing comes back, so the sound just leaves. The instinct is to turn it up, which only makes the front rows uncomfortable while the back still cannot hear. The answer is more speakers spread through the space rather than one loud pair at the front.
Wind is the other half of it. A breeze off the water pulls the high frequencies out of a voice, and consonants are what make speech intelligible. A ceremony that sounds fine at twenty feet during rehearsal can be unusable at sixty on the day. For anything on a beach, a dock, or an open terrace we plan for delay fills past about sixty feet and we mic for the wind, not for the quiet.
Then there is power. More outdoor events are ruined by electrical problems than by speakers. A PA sharing a residential circuit with catering warmers will brown out mid-toast. We check what the site actually has before the day, and we bring a generator when the honest answer is that there isn't enough.
Salt air and humidity are a South Florida tax. Everything we take outdoors is rated for it, and gear gets covered when the afternoon storm shows up, because in this state it usually does.
Live bands need more than a DJ does. A DJ needs two channels. A seven-piece needs sixteen or more, plus monitors so the musicians can hear themselves, plus somebody mixing front of house while they play. If you are booking a band and the sound is an afterthought, that is the night the vocals disappear under the drums. We spec for the band you actually hired.
Microphones are where events quietly go wrong. One handheld passed around a room means half the speeches are off-mic. We bring handhelds for toasts, lavaliers for an officiant who needs both hands, and headsets for a presenter who moves. Every event carries a backup receiver, and we change batteries between segments rather than hoping.
Clear vows are non-negotiable. We mic the officiant, the readers, and run a clean feed for the processional music. Your guests will hear every word.
Wireless mics for panels, keynotes, and Q&A. We run monitors for speakers and test everything before a single guest walks in.

A rough guide. Every room changes it, but this is the shape of it.
Under 75 guests, indoors. A pair of powered tops on stands covers speech and background music comfortably.
75 to 200. The same tops plus a subwoofer, once there is dancing. Without a sub the music sounds thin and people feel it before they can say why.
200 to 500. Larger tops, multiple subs, and delay fills so the back third is not listening to an echo of the front.
500 and up. A line array, because it throws evenly to the back instead of blasting the first ten rows to reach row forty.
Outdoors, add roughly half again. Nothing reflects back, so the same headcount needs more coverage than it would in a ballroom.

Yes. Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano, and the Broward waterfront are regular work for us. Outdoor sound on the Intracoastal has its own problems, mainly wind off the water and power that was never meant to run a PA, and we plan for both before the day.
Yes. We bring a generator when a site cannot give us a clean circuit. Beaches, docks, gardens, and private estates often look like they have power until you check what is actually on that breaker. We confirm it in advance rather than discovering it at load-in.
Yes. A band needs monitors so the musicians can hear themselves, enough channels for the whole group, and an engineer mixing during the set. We handle full backline audio for bands at weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
We arrive early, position the speakers for the space rather than just flanking the stage, run and secure the cabling, add delay fills if the area is deep, then sound check every microphone and input before guests arrive. Everything is weather-covered until doors.
